Thank You for loving us so much.
Today, we open our doors with big hearts,
ready to let Your light come in.
Please bless our family with joy,
with hugs, kindness, and smiles.
Help us share hope with others—
just like You share Your love with us.
When we are scared, give us courage.
When we are sad, bring us peace.
When we mess up, help us say sorry and try again.
Let our home be full of laughter,
full of love, and full of You.
We walk through this door together,
trusting You to lead the way.
Thank You for being with us
every day and every step.
Amen.
Dear Parents and Carers
As Mother’s Day approaches, I want to take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate the incredible mothers, grandmothers, carers, aunties and mother-figures in our school community. This special day gives us the opportunity to show appreciation for the love, strength and support these remarkable women provide every day.
At school, we see firsthand the impact of a mother’s encouragement—whether it’s a kind note in a lunchbox, a reassuring hug at the school gate or the tireless effort behind the scenes to help with home learning, routines and extracurricular activities. Our mums and significant females play a vital role in nurturing not just their own children, but the spirit of our entire community.
This week, we will encourage students to take some time to reflect on what their mums or significant others mean to them and to share those thoughts in creative and heartfelt ways. Whether it’s a handmade card, a few kind words, or simply a big thank you, it’s these small gestures that can mean the most.
On Wednesday night between 4.30pm-6 pm, mums or significant females are invited to call into school with your children. Each Hub has made arrangements to have teacher representation who will be in attendance to support the children in showcasing their work, taking a photo, choosing an activity. Also a gentle reminder your child stays with you throughout your time at the event, making you feel special. There is also one sausage per person. We are also grateful to the teachers being available for after school events as we truly value community engagement and keeping our community spirit alive. The PFA is calling on dads or other volunteers to cook the sausages. We look forward to seeing you here on the night.
Family Week 2025 - Week 4
Family Week is a special time to celebrate the gift of family and the important role families play in helping children grow in faith and love. In 2025, the theme is "Lending a Hand to Thrive: Supporting Each Other," reminding us that families flourish when they share kindness, help and encouragement. Family Week encourages us to recognise and celebrate how families nurture hope, care for each other and live out God’s love every day.
The Jubilee Year is a special time in the Church when we are called to open our hearts to God and others. The "Holy Door" is a powerful symbol of this – a door that opens to forgiveness, mercy, and new beginnings.
In celebration of Family Week and the Jubilee Year, we are inviting all families to take part in a special project called ‘Welcome To Our Place’. Families are asked to take a photo of their front door. You may wish to insert some words like welcome, love, and friendship or some simple images like hearts or hands.
By photographing your family’s door (perhaps slightly ajar), you are showing how your home is a place of welcome, support and hope.
All photos will be shared in a special display during Family Week!
Please access this link to submit your photo according to the size and contrast needed.
Thank you for your participation in this celebration of family and faith.
