From the Principal
Dear Parents,
The key word for preparing ourselves for Christmas in the second week of Advent is Peace. We are asked to stop to remember, and look forward to the peace, joy and love that is to come when we celebrate the feast of Christmas.
Click here to read a beautiful letter from Sr Abeba in Bulbula expressing much gratitude for our wonderful donation to the community. We pray for peace for all.
As the school year draws to a conclusion there is much to celebrate, to be grateful for and to rejoice in.

As we end the 2019 school year I would also like to thank you all for your year of contributions. We were able to say thank you in a small way with morning tea for the volunteer work you have done alongside us, in caring for the children of Our Lady Star of the Sea school to provide opportunities for them to learn and flourish. Our students are at the centre of our work together, our core business and I have enjoyed the year immensely, enjoying our community and its energy, with great and generous people.
School Choir:
Congratulations to all the children who did a wonderful job of singing carols in the Park. A special thankyou to you as parents in getting the students there and particularly to Michael Sheridan, Sue Constable and Natalie Skahill who prepared the students and Kevin Mitchell who accompanied on guitar. Such a wonderful community event. If any of the choir wanted to attend Christmas eve Carols at 5.30 pm on Christmas Eve , 24/12/19, in OG we have been asked if the choir could sing 1st verse ‘Away in a Manger’ during the service. Please bring you children dressed as angels and shepherds if you are able.
Seesaw Learning Journal:
In the Holy Season, may the spirit of Christmas bring you peace and joy.
Wishing you a very happy and safe Christmas on behalf of all the staff at Our Lady Star of the Sea.
Wishing you all many Christmas blessings.
