Congratulations to Michael Sheridan on the following achieving the Grey Wolf Award - Scouts Victoria. Michael belongs to the 1st Barwon Heads Cub Pack. Attaining the top award in each of the five Sections in Scouting reflects initiative in tackling this challenge, sustained effort over many months and years, plus self-discipline, teamwork, and leadership.

Patrick McCaffrey Yr 3SC

In the September school holidays the McCaffrey family travelled to Brisbane so that Paddy could participate in a Futsal tournament representing Victoria in the Under 9 competition. 

It was a very successful trip as Paddy arrived back to school with a Runner-Up medallion. 

Futsal is a relatively new sport to Paddy who is currently playing for Surfside Waves in the Geelong competition. We wish Paddy well in his future Futsal playing endeavours and look forward to hearing where this sport takes him in the future. 

Grace McLean Yr 5MC

Grace was nominated recently to represent Our Lady Star of the Sea at the Geelong Region Cricket Trials. Grace then progressed through another regional session to the Victorian School Sports State Cricket Trials. It was held at the Maribyrnong Sports Academy on Sunday 25 August, where 35 girls from around the state were trying out for the Victorian team which would play in the National titles in November in Adelaide. Grace did not make the final team but is to be commended for her dedication in progressing as far as she did.
