The Great Book Swap - Friday 23 August
What better way to celebrate Book Week, than get a brand new (old) book!!
All students are encouraged to bring any books in good condition, to be donated to The Great Book Swap. We are collecting books within the classroom and would like donations by this Friday 16 August. On Book Week Celebration Day, Friday 23 August, students can purchase books with a gold coin. Students who have donated a book, will be given first pick on the day. (If students wish to bring in their gold coin donation with their book, they can give it to the classroom teacher.)
Money raised will go to The Indigenous Literacy Foundation. Read more here. This national reading initiative aims to reduce the disadvantage experienced by children in remote Indigenous communities across Australia, by lifting literacy levels and instilling a lifelong love of reading.
