Pentecost Sunday saw the release of the key themes for discernment for the 2020 Plenary Council which is a gathering of the Church in Australia to discern the focus and direction for renewal. The six National Themes for Discernment invite people to reflect, to pray and to consider how God is calling the People of God to be a Christ-centred Church in Australia that is:

•    Missionary and Evangelising

•    Inclusive, Participatory and Synodal

•    Prayerful and Eucharistic

•    Humble, Healing and Merciful

•    A Joyful, Hope-Filled and Servant Community

•    Open to conversion, Renewal and Reform.

We continue praying that the work of the Plenary Council will bring the Australian Church to healing and the fullness of life, based on the person of Jesus.
