Our annual Health and Human development sessions will be offered to our Year 4 & Year 5 students and their families later this month.

The Year 4 sessions will be held on Tuesday October 28, starting at either 5:15pm or 6:30pm.  During the Year 4 session, parent/carer and child will watch the short film A New Baby, which focuses on pregnancy and birth. 

The Year 5 sessions will be held on Wednesday October 29, starting at either 5pm or 6:30pm. This special session is part of the Wonder of Living program and aims to support open and meaningful discussions between parents and children around human development and growing up.  During the evening, parent/carer and child will view two short videos from the Wonder of Living series:

• “And Now There's Me”
• “I'm Stepping Out”

These videos explore:

• How a baby begins and the wonder of the human body
• The physical and emotional changes of puberty
• Navigating change and building emotional resilience
• Identifying and responding to unhealthy social media pressures
• The importance of seeking support from trusted adults
• Making safe and informed choices

At both sessions there will be time set aside for parent–child discussion. 

While the session won’t cover all aspects of human development, it provides a safe and supportive space to engage in these important conversations in a way that’s age-appropriate and meaningful for your family.
